There is an expansive list of activities with nearly 50 options for kids. The list includes traditional favorites like basketball, equestrian, riflery, outdoor adventure, and swimming. Campers can also sign up for performing arts like dance and drama or other indoor activities like chess and ceramics. Some unique options are horseback vaulting, LEGO building, and ropes courses for climbing adventures. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The attentive camp directors and counselors provide a great balance of supervision and freedom for the campers. This allows them to be themselves and spend time making new friends and memories while engaging in fun camp activities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Kids of all ages are welcome at Kennolyn Camp, with programs available for grades one through twelve. One-week and two-week sessions are available, but slots fill up quickly. They offer both sleepaway camps and day camps if that\u2019s your preference. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Golden Arrow Camp<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\nGolden Arrow Camp is situated on Huntington Lake in the center of the Sierra National Forest. This location provides ample opportunities for kids ages 6-14 to engage in water and wilderness activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There is a set schedule every day for campers to follow. Early risers can get in an optional session of waterskiing, fishing, or horse care before the day begins in earnest at 7:30 am. Each day features an assembly, followed by morning activities until lunch. Rest time and two hours of activities after lunch are followed by dinner and daily campfires. <\/figure>\n\n\n\nCali Camp is a summer day camp for kids in the Los Angeles area in Topanga Canyon. Rather than a traditional sleepaway camp, children are shuttled in and out daily. It focuses on providing campers with a balance of education and fun. They don\u2019t see camp as just a summer with friends, but a way for kids to learn about the world. The activities support every child in their journey of self-discovery and include the broad categories of action & adventure, sports, creative arts, and natural excursions. Within each category is a wide selection of classic activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Kids from 3 to 15 can attend two one-week day camp sessions. The day camps occur during any two weeks of the open season, consecutively or otherwise. With a location in the Santa Monica Mountains, it\u2019s one of the few California day camps with such natural environments. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
YMCA Camp Loma Mar<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\nCamp Loma Mar is a YMCA summer camp located in the Pescadero Valley that sits conveniently just outside San Jose and San Francisco. Camp Winnarainbow<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\nCome one, come all to the circus and performances at Camp Winnarainbow in Laytonville, California. This one-of-a-kind experience takes place in Northern California with beautiful mountains and forestlands around the campus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It offers a welcoming environment for free-spirited and creative children to shine bright with their peers and engage in lively performances. Group camp games include waterslides, carnivals, ping pong, and card games. The list of classes is wonderfully whimsical and includes all kinds of unique activities. Circus-themed classes feature trapeze, silks, the cloud swing, and ropes. There is stilt walking, clowning, and juggling. There are also programs for acting, songwriting, poetry, visual arts, social justice art, and so on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Camps are offered in one and two-week lengths to children ages 7 to 14.
